Been kicking the idea around of updating my round baler. Ive been running a Vermeer 605F for years, make about 500 bales a year. I am looking for a little input on what would be a good replacement baler. Fairly dependable, easy to get parts for, easy to run, makes a 5x6 bale etc etc. Looking to spend around 7 to 10 thousand.

Went from a Vermeer 605 F to a Vermeer 605K, been real pleased with the K model. Took a little getting use to as it is a good bit different from the F but once you get it setup it is sure nice to run. You should be able to get one in that price range.
Good luck

I'd have to concur with the Hay DR.

If you want to stay with the 5x6 bale you could find a really nice 605 Super J in that price range.

I've got a 504L and I really like it.

If you can find one cheap enough, look for a NH 660. Same basic baler as a 664, 688 and BR780. Excellent balers.

Look for a Vermeer 605 Super J baler. It is as good a baler as you can get for the money. Find one back east with not as many bales put through it. That 605 Super J will easily fit in your budget.

I went from a 605H to a 605L. I am really happy with it. it is easier to work on than the K from what I hear. The only thing is that they are in the 12 thousand range.
