Are there any collectors looking for decent 2 row horse/tractor drawn corn planters?

I would love to find an early Allis pull type (pre-Snap Coupler). I think it was a 400 series?? They have a funny tongue and hitch arrangement that sets the planting depth.

I just picked up another IH 2 row unit..drawn type. Is there any place on the net that has pictures of the old IH planters so I can make a positive model ID and get the paint schemes correct? I bought this last one because it has fertilizer units on it...which of course need repairing. My other IH planter never did have them. I saved the first from the scrap man 25 years ago and have been planting corn with it ever since....but I have to side dress it with the Super A. I figure both of these planters are from the 1940's....still working fine 60 years later.

Poster Tim in New Jersey noted high demand and prices for old 2 row planters in his area- lots of gardens using them. Old pull types getting as good a price as 3pts, sometimes better. Pennsylvania posters have noted Amish at auctions buying pull type 2 and 4 rows units. Some regional demand, other places scrap metal priced. RN

Sure there is collector interest, but the 3pt type is popular for planting food plots. I have a Dearborn 12-88 planter and someday I might get around to restoring it.

I have several John Deere 290 corn planters. Only one is operational and I use it to plant about 8 acres every year

I wouldn't mind finding an IH 2 row tractor drawn lister as my dad had one many years ago. He also had a mounted Case lister for our DC and I'd love to find one of those as the scrapman bought his at the auction.
