On a NH310 Baler how important is plunger bearing adjustment. Specifically the .010-.020 clearance wit the bearing guides. Is it better to be on the loose side? THANKS.

You want it loose enough so it doesn't bind, but not so loose that the plunger can move enough so that the slicing knives contact eachother in any way. That can cause some big problems. I changed all the plunger bearings on my 273 and left them pretty much in the exact same spot that the old ones were in. The one exception was the bearing on the left side. I had to adjust that one just a little to get my knife clearance a little closer.
