I'm getting ready to go look at an old JD 2 row corn planter(sorry I don't know the model number, but I'm assuming it's the last model they made, if not then the previous to that) and was wanting to know what I should be looking for. I know very little about corn planters, about the only thing I've ever had any experience with is the old Ford 309's, but that's not much. If this thing isn't in working order, could it be made to work without spending a small fortune? Did the Deere's have a fertilizer hopper and a seed hopper, or just a seed? Seems like the I saw one sometime back that only had one hopper, but I'm not for sure. Is there anything special that I should be looking for? If it makes a difference it's going to be used for planting cane for sorghum. Any guesses as to what it might be worth? Thanks for the advice. Casey
