Hello all. Im in the market for a 3-pt tiller to use for small scale vegetable production. Ive found a fellow who is selling a '70s Kubota K-42 tiller, the perfect size and price for my needs. Problem is the original PTO is just under an inch and has 10 notches- not the standard 540 pto ill need to hook 'er up to my 25-40 hp working tractor. it runs on what appears to be an equally vintage B-6000. can this tiller be converted to be used on the standard 540 rpm pto? the 3-pt appears to be category I. please advise. thanks.

The reason for the odd spline on the tiller is because the B6000 kubota pto shaft rotates ccw as viewed from the rear. Most tractors rotate cw. this would mean the tines would rotate backwards.

Hey If you would , and you don't want it - can you give him my name and e-mail address - I'm looking for one for a B6000.

Thanks,
