Have a near mint original 4B plow with oil bath clutch (1940-49) and wondered if you might have an operators manual you would part with. I can probably get copies but an original would be nice. Stan and Dean have both been more than helpfull with info and manuals and parts for my plows and cultivators. Thanks in advance. Randy.

thank you also for the kind words. Always glad to help others because at times I need help too. The only thing I have concerning the 4B plow, is a Whats new in the JD line for the year around 1940. It only has a picture of the 4B and a small amount of advertising info on it. Wish I could be of more help to you.

Thanks very much to both of you for responding so quickly. I'm sure I will find something even if it is a re-print. Stan , I made copies of the operating and parts manual for the #51 & #52 plows you sent me and give them to a retired JD enthusiast in southern MI. who brought a set of cultivator depth levers back home with him from Dean in IA for me, and since he is into plows too he was really tickled to death. In this hobby good deeds just seem to go full circle. Happy Holidays!

Randy,

I'm glad to be of help anytime...That old book is kind of neat and useful, for sure. You have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well.

Stan
