Your opinion on whether or not using on would be worth it. It being $400 and The owner not using it since he bought it. I would be using it for a small operation. Your Thoughts

Thanks

Loren

Not sure what to tell you. I have one and it has been in the barn for over twenty years. I have a manual for it, so if you have any specific questions, ask away. Mine is a 3pt hitch model and weighs about 200 lbs without the chain auger. It is suppose to shell corn at at rate of 100 to 250 bushel per hour, but that was back in the late 1950s to early 70s before all this hybryd corn.

What Is the Min. HP required?
How well did it work?
What would go wrong with them?

Thanks

Loren

I have an original sales brochure for one and it says it requires 10 hp. I have one of these but have not used it for many years. I remember it does a good job if you can keep it pretty full. If the rubber paddles on the shelled corn thrower are worn out it will crack the corn pretty bad as it throws it into the wagon.

"What Is the Min. HP required?" That depends on how fast you can shovel.
