I have a Ford 4610 and for the past year the "white" corrosion has been building up on the bottom and ends of the battery case at a torrid pace after cleaning. Just a month ago I replaced all battery cables, cleaned and tested the battery, pulled the battery pan off the tractor, cleaned and repainted it due to the corrosion problem. Now the bottom of the pan is once again filled with corrosion along with the hold down clamps. There is not really any corrosion on the posts. I do not have this problem on any of the other tractors, truck or car. The battery tests good, is 4 years old, has no visible signs of damage and starts the tractor every time without issue. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance...

Could be the post seals are leaking, vent(s) plugged or both. I didn't noticed if anyone said cracked case. Any spilled electrolyte will flow down but search out copper anywhere even if it's on the tractor next door

I was wondering if you have a vent tube for the battery, if not it could be venting right into your battery plate. Grease works good for corrosion on the posts and other stuff....just kinda messy.

Old is probably right on. Another thing I have aproblem with sometimes is if you driving the tractor in really rough ground and it forces it out the top from shaking of the tractor

Sounds like your tractor maybe over charging the battery just a little bit and water/acid is coming out the vent on the battery and causeing you that problem
