Bought a 605C this season. Got frustrated with it so I used the square baler till I had more time to work with the round baler.
I got it to make bales but when I tried to tie the bale the string was loose as a goose. I have a manual but it doesn"t give any directions on threading the hydraulic tie mechinism. It appears to me that there is not enough tension on the string.
Also the belts are about 18 inches shorter than factory belts. I purchased two 10" belts made to factory specs 440". I plan to lengthen the ramaining belts to same length as 10" belts. Am I doing the right thing?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 605D, and also had the same problem. I made a spring loaded clamp like the one on my square baler twine box and mounded it between the twine box and the guide arm pipe. It puts tension on the twine and makes it wrap tight around the bale. Hope this is some help.

I have a 605 f that has a spring loaded clamp right outside of the twine box. you can tighten the clamp to put more resistance on the twine to make it tie tighter. Also have found that leaving baler rotating at baling speed when tieing will make it tighter. Hope this helps, the name above says it all.

mine doesn't have spring loaded device but sounds like it would work. I Have a NH square baler that has the same device.
