We are a stone age operation using a 22 foot Roll o Flex deep tillage. It has one cylinder that controls the depth and cables to the two extensions. We pull it with a 5020 tractor. It works well in soft ground but once we get into heavy unworked soil or stubble, the deep tillage buckles !!! The extension digs in and lifts the middle section.....We put on depth controls on the extensions and we still have the same problem.....Why ????

Have you considered that tillage may be the problem?

did you put tires on it for depth control. you may have to double the number of tires. has the cables stretch causing you this problem always had this problem or did it just start. did yo make some adjustments to the plow right before this all started.
