Hello folks! I need some advice about purchasing a John Deere 120 Corn Snapper. I am looking at one close to home, but has one main issue. A gear housing is busted where a main chain runs the rollers that strips the ear from the stalk. It is one the lefthand side of the machine, right in front of the large wheel and tire. I would post a picture, but can't figure out how to add an attachment. What will this snapper fit? I have an Unstyled A, 60, 620, 420, H, 4020. Will it fit any of these. The snapper is complete, but is sitting outside. I think it was used 8-10 years ago. I do see some rust repaired housings and a few spot welds in places, but does not seem to be froze up. Is it worth $150...it is close by. Where could I find this part and what would it likely cost? Thank you for any response garnered!

What it fits just depends on the brackets and were made for all the Green tractors up into the 60's ans Red , Orange, Yellow, other Red and other Green. Even Grey tractors. Finding the part probably will be like finding the hens teeth. Unless you have a special need for ear corn with the husks on forget it and get a good picker with a husking bed.

i wouldn't worry about what it would fit. i'd buy it just to keep it from being hauled off for junk. somebody needs pieces off of it at the very least. i would think it would fit the 60, but thats just a guess. make a heck of a show piece!!!!! !!
