What kind of bearing is it and does it have a number on it? Is it wood or metal? CENTAUR

I think I made a misstake as you asked for wheels not bearings. However if you have worn wooden bearings some one with a large enough lathe could make some out of a block of hardwood. It may be possible to reverse the worn top side to the bottom.I did this on a semi floating truck axle by turning the worn top of the timken race to the bottom and the noise went away. That was many a year ago. Those old wooden bearings were encapsulated inside of the castings.A picture would not help as I have never even seen or worked on one.I did take apart a MODEL 10A McCormick bearing to see how it was made and wearing as I had to see inside.I still do that but I do not make work like I used to.I think I am older then (OLD) is.
