I have called New Holland about my brother's broken rototiller. Will a parts catalog show dimensions for the parts that are in it? Will it tell anything about the materials they are made from?
I want a blueprint for the shaft, but the lady does not know if the info I want is going to be in any of the books they sell.
Thank you SDE

Parts book shows an exploded diagram of the parts, with dashed lines of how they assemble. There is a list of the parts below the pic. There is little to no extra info, very brief text of the parts.

As mentioned, it is exactly what you can find on-line on the NH web site, look up your machine & parts there.

Most likely not.... However, if it's a Ford/NH product, go to newholland.com/na and look in the parts section, search for parts on your model. That will gove you most of the information that's found in NH's PAL system, and certainly anything found in a printed book. Worth a shot and costs you nothing.
Actually, sometimes the best way to get the information you want is to contact a dealer and have them look the stuff up in PAL; SOMETIMES there is supplimental information there like you want...

Thank you everyone. I talked to my brother tonight and he is more comfortable with ordering a new shaft, even though it will cost about $550.
If it were mine, I would have liked to try to repair it myself.
