i am not sure of the model number of this corn planter. i thought it might be a 249. i have the check row wire attchment for it too.

One of the serious deficiencies we have here on this site is the inability to accurately identify certain implements.....IH-McCormick being one of those makers that had so damned many models and just painted the model number on....which time erases. Now, we are stuck trying to figure out which is which and there isn't any definitive reference source made available on ytmag for positive ID of these machines. I have a McCormick planter that I have tried to positive ID for several years...the best I can get is: "it looks like a such and such."

Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. We really need an implement Identification section.
