214ws questions

I have just acquired a 214ws. I also have a 14t I was going to change the drive shaft from the 214 to the 14. But I gotta tell ya that the 214 is in good shape except its a wire tie. I dont want a wire tie baler. Looks to me like the knotters and needles from the 14t will fit the 214. Anyone ever changed one over. All the holes look to be there and the shafts appear to hook up the same. Any help appreciated.

I think the knotter systems will interchange. JD has not changed their tying system much since they started automatic balers. Stiil much the same on a 348 baler as 214. The wire tying parts would sell down here in Texas as hardly anything but wire is used on small bales here. Tx Jim
