i thought i was doing good with my grass mowers. i have a ransome 63 inch front deck mower and pull two 44 inch mowers with it, one on each side. in an open field i can mow an acre and a half in less than 15 minutes. always loved running big equipment. the most fun thing i ever ran was a three wheeled fertlize spreader. the owner told me to never stop with it for any reason, but i was spreading fertlize in a real low place and the black gombo was so slick the front wheel wouldn"t spin. it was like three feet wide and the mud was piling up in front of it. i was afraid it would break the wheel off. i stopped, backed up and got to going again. never did tell my boss i did that. pulling 7 - 24 inch flat bottom plows with a steiger panther was fun, until you had to replace the plow points. it was no fun paying for the diesel, i don"t guess, because it would hold over 200 gallons and use most of it in about 14 hours of straight running. of course you got-er-done with that thing.

Reminds me of a pasture clipper someone in Texas built. Saw the pictures in an old,old "Farm Show Magazine" issue. He took several car rear ends, turned the input shaft down and mounted a blade on each one. Hooked several together. I forget how many. Pulled therm up to 70 miles per hour. I bet turning was scairy.lol, bob

imagine putting a full 450 horsepower on that PTO shaft. That's a hell of a load

what it would take to move it in reply to RobMD, 10-19-2007 17:47:09
I'm not sure what it would take to move it let alone mow with it. Like you said that is one big load. Larry
