Went back and found the thread. Yes a few were pretty smarta55y. It looked like your pa was getting a bit mifed as well, but to me I felt like he was just defending his statements. A few people on here just post to feel smart. Most post to be helpful because they are smart in most of the areas the reply on. Some are very smart in alot of areas and there advice is very helpful, but at times a few of them get a bit cocky for some reason. Alot of times people forget that some of us are asking becasue WE JUST WANT SOME ADVICE, because we dont know something, or just want another persons veiw of recommendation. A few people here have alot of cash, or are able to finance alot, so they do poke fun at some of the financially strapped folks. I can tell you ways to improve an assembly line, identify and correct unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, how to repair most freezers, and a few other things, because that is what I did for years, but I dont expect most people here to know what I know, about that. Your pa has the right to use his stuff as he sees fit, they are his. From the pics it looks like things are well taken care of. In the 80's my uncle only had 1/2 ton trucks and they were used for everything, and we overloaded them because we had to get the job done and we used what we had available. 98% of the people on here will politly help if they can-but occasionally may toss out a "smarta55 comment for a little side poking-thats it, the 2% that consistantly make remarks are just immature folk that get the false sense of intellegence when they cut others down. Them few are disregarded by most of the other 98%. I commend your pa for doing what he had to all these years and sacrificing. Many expect the help to be handed to them from other sources, yet live lavishly. Alright, coffes gone, I better get out to the barn.
