Looking for some parts for a 46 baler.. can anyone advise me on the availability of parts for these?

alot of parts from 420, 430 and 440 balers are the same. gear box knotters (to a point) etc. just because it says 46 doesn't mean some thing else want fit.

Where do you get IH Parts? I can"t sseem to find a dealer in CA that even sells IH parts. Is there an online source? We have a IH 55W baler. We have all the parts books so the numbers are no problem. I made many inquirys about a belt and got no replys from any dealer so we went ahead and made one up. It is a great baler but I worry about breaking some part someday.

Brian,

IH still carries most of the parts for the 46. You can go to IH parts website and look at their parts schematics and get parts numbers helps when you go in to order them.

Thanks. Did not know that the diagrams were online.. the only number I had (for the assembly) was discontinued but the parts diagram gave me the individual numbers which were still available. Already got the parts ordered.. thanks a bunch. Just wish it would rain so some hay would actually grow here...!
