dearborn buzzsaw

I have a dearborn 3-pt buzz saw that mounts on the 3 pt. My problem is that the pulley that runs it fits the small diameter pto shaft like on a 8N I traded my 8N for a Ford 860 which has a larger pto shaft any ideas on how to make it work? thanks Joe

If you want a practical solution to make it work, convert the saw to a shaft drive using a metric shaft and eliminate the pulley altogether.
If you want to maintain that nostalgic feel to the thing then you can convert the tractor to a 1-1/8 shaft for the pulley or find a 1-3/8 pulley...

Those pulleys were made for a 1 3/8" PTO, I bought one at an auction last year, but my son wanted it. Kinda rare I think They also made an adapter which was a spacer block
and used a 1 1/8"female to 1 3/8" male to connect
the pulley. Didn't look to tough to make that one.

Dave,
That spacer block with the pto adapter wont work on a buzz saw.
The top link on the buzz saw doesn't hook up to the normal 3 pt. toplink but to a special bracket on the PULLEY.
Using that adapter will throw the geometry off and make the saw unuseable.
Joe, you are pretty much reduced to having to find the belt pulley with 1 3/8" spline or not use the saw.
They are hard but not impossible to find.
