New Idea Loader and Bucket

I have a New Idea 501 loader with a manure bucket on the front of it. I have no livestock, and use my 560 mostly for hobby farming and personal landscaping, I'd like to fabricate a larger bucket that will hold more material, and rotate farther back. My current bucket doesn"t rotate back enough, and I wind up losing half my load! Anyone have any experience with this they can pass on?

My second question is, does anyone know what grade of steel those main arms are made of? I have a pretty severe crack in the left main, and I'd like to have it fixed.

I've fixed many a crack on loader frames over the years. The key to do it so it holds is to grind a V in the crack and then weld it up. And then put what is called fish plate over the crack. The plate needs to be long enough to cover the weld and over lap by 3 or 4 inches then weld in over the crack. I have on place on a loader that was welded up 15 plus years ago like that and it has held very well and never cracked again
