Ford 902 100 mower

I just picked up an old Ford 902 100" field mower. one spindle needs new bearings - I picked them up yesterday at the NH dealer. For anyone reading this post in the future looking at the same mower, the spindle bearings are NH stock numer 9808112 and are about $50.00 each. They have fafnir 207KYY FS615 stamped on them if you want to source them without paying the dealer's price. I haven't used the mower yet, but would like to pull it with my 40 Hp Allis 160 diesel. Anyone run one of these before? Am I going to need to use a bigger tractor? Love the little diesel for economy, but can use the 70 Hp gasser if need to.

I'd like to get a parts manual for this mower. I've seen owners manuals on EBAY and etc., but they are pricey. Anyone know if the owner's manual has a parts blow-up in it with numbers?

Tell me anything you wish to about this mower. I'd rather know it now than after I learn the hard way. It's replacing a 5 foot bush hog type and will be used just for clean flat pasture clipping.

Anyone have an old junker of this mower they'd like to part with as a parts rig? Mid atlantic region.

I always try to ger bearings, seals, belts, chains, etc from local bearing/power transmission house. They are good at crossing parts, even from JD and Ford P/Ns Pick-up drive v-belt for my Ford 532 baler is $68 and 3-4 days from local NH dealer (3 miles away), but only $14 and change and off the shelf from Bearing Specialty. They took the P/N from the parts manual (over the phone), and promptly informed me that it was a Long P/N, not Ford. PTO input seal for my 902 rotary was less than 1/3 of what Ford wanted.
