$1500? It has the new holland "kicker" on it. I used it this summer and seemed to work flawless, with the exception of some broken bales ( probably old twine issue) and some misses on the tying( had been sitting for a few years). The guy I borrowed it from caled this pm and said he woule "like" to get $1500 for it. I dont think I will ever find a beteer baler baler for the price. Then I can sell that old super 66. What do you all think, most I see on lots are $3000 or more.

$1500 is a very good deal. I'd jump on that with both feet.

Paid $2500 from dealer for one that has been "gone through" but not refurbished this summer with a 30 day guarantee. See them in the paper around ohio, mich and indiana for about $3500 listed by dealers routinely. If you know the baler and it needs nothing but slight adjustment to fix the misses and new twin, sounds like a real good price.

Ask him if 1200 cash will buy it, but bring it home regardless.

You don't get many deals like that. Most times ya got to buy a pig in a bag for a deal like that. You know the machine. If it's in good working order, I'd grab it.

Hey,
My dad always said, "Don't ever buy a pig in a poke. "Pig-in-a-Poke" is short for "Pig-in-a-pokesack" which could be considered a bag. Guess he was telling me to never buy something I couldn't see or know about.

Sounds like you know this baler and are getting a good deal besides.
John
