E-nut: I expect you are getting into same situation a we did years ago with 2x14 trailer plow behind Farmall H and 300. We wanted the tractors on 72' tread for stability, didn't plow more than 30 acres in those days, thus a 2 bottom plow was sufficient. The side draft created by the 2 bottom plow was light enough, we just shifted it on drawbar to match the right tire. Probably 3 bottoms behind F-30 is too much draft for not having plow centered behind tractor. Plows do pull the easiest if center line of draft is in line with center line of tractor. Can you shift the plow hitch enough to match wheel tread, I expect that would be better than hooking off center on drawbar. I later went to 3x16 behind the 300 and 3x16 centers perfectly behind 72" tread. The day I bought that plow home, dad said I'd never pull it with 300. The 300 never did run away with 3x16, but it did plow in 2nd gear under all conditions in our sandy loam. I quickly pointed out to dad, I was plowing more land per hour with 3 bottoms in 2nd gear than he ever did in 3rd gear with 2x14, and we were starting to plow more than 30 acres as well. I expect your F-30 is a bit wider than 72" tread. How much wider? You might try 2 bottoms, or you might try 4. Not saying you'll pull 4, but I'd like to hear about the attempt. One of the problems shifting drawbar to right for plowing is side draft. I remember we had to be right on top of that side draft, (toe right at left brake) as narrow front would slide to furrow when you least expected it, happened fast as well. And what a mess one can make with narrow front and right rear wheel both in furrow, you can't back more than 18", and 18" doesn't get that narrow front out of furrow. You try to move forward and right wheel spins. Real recipe for 4 letter words.
