Does anyone have a picture or drawing on how to hook a JD Model 120 picker to the tractor? Just brought one home and need to find out.
Thanks Jeff

I'm doing hay today but let me dig up my manual and if you don't have good answer I'll let you know. I can tell you to take off the lower lift arms on the tractor and you should have chain that lifts the mower. That hooks to your rockshaft arm on your hydraulics. You should have a stabilizer bar that hooks to bracket on the axle. The bracket comes with the picker. You have it right? Ok that should be clear as mud. I'll let you know.

Would you check that model number again? The 100-101 was a 1 row semi mounted picker or snapper without a husking bed, then there was the 127 that is a 1 row full mounted type picker that only fit a narrow front row crop type tractor and the mounting brackets would be like finding hens teeth. then there is a 1 row pull type No. 18 and a very old one row pull type picker and these are all the 1 row pickers Deere made. Some of the 100-101 series bolted to brackets like a No. 5 mower bracket while later ones use the quick hitch that the later No. 5, No. 8 semi mounted mowers used. And they will fit a wide front tractor.

What was it like? Mounted? 1 row? 2 row? Pull type? The picture he posted looks like a 227 picker.

1-row, semi-mounted, snout on left. The brochure that is posted shows a rear view of the 120 on the left and a head on of the 237 on the right. There is a better picture of one in John Deere Tractors and Equipment Volume II by Macmillan and Harrington. Apparently there weren't too many of them made.

His picker looks like the 100-101 picker and had at one time heard that Deere reserected the 101 for a bit with a new number but never had seen any or any reference in Deere publications about it and here in what was at that time corn picker area there were none sold

What kind of tractor are you using? Different tractors hook up very differently.

Right now I am trying to put it on a 1010 but I have a 4010 and an M Farmall that I could put it on. I know what piece goes on the drawbar but the rest is a Mystery to me
