Got a curiosity; picked up a sawmill attachment (at least I'd call it a sawmill for lack of better terminology). Mounts on a 3pt (appears to be built that way) & looks to have been flat belt driven (has 2 sheet metal "rings" in the shaft that probably had wood, leather or something sandwiched between them?) to make a flat belt pulley. Blade is parallel to the tractor wheels. Anyone know anything bout it? I just plan to use it as a "neat yard ornament" but am curious bout the drive; didn't know Ford had a flat belt drive on their 3pt tractors? Didn't Dearborn build Ford Accessories?

Later today when I come in from the shop I will bring the cover of the assembly and operating instructions in and scan you a picture. mine is missing the blade but the paper is still ok on the pulley. I'm going to restore mine for show with the 2N Larry

It is called a Buzzsaw. Used for cutting firewood. Ford had a belt pully that mounted on rear and was powered by the PTO.

I have one. It was laying at an old house site. I tried to buy it. They wouldn't sell it. They gave it to me. Oddly enough, I learned it belonged to my daughter-in-law's grandfather. I also have a belt pulley attachment for 8n or 9n that I got at a flea market in Wisconsin.

Wow! Neat. This one was in a bunch of junk some friends had & they sold it to me for bout scrap weight price (maybe less). Was on their homestead when they bought it.
