I have a Ford 515 series sickle Bar Mower. Recently the pitman went on this piece of equipment and i have had no luck in finding a new or used pitman for this sickle bar mower. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The 515 is a pitmanless mower but does have a short connecting rod that goes to bar . I wonder if one from a mid mounted mower would work I know the bars are interchangable .

I though the 515 was a balance head mower.

No, it is a Sickle Bar mower with a 7 foot bar.

Thanks.

I am fairly sure that is a IH mower with blue paint on it. Parts are available from IH, New Holland or New Idea. If you are needing the pitman arm that the sickle attaches to That is the only thing on that mower that could be considered a pitman. Get the part number to take with you. I may even have one. Send me an email and we will see about one.

As Geo says a 515 is a balnced head type mower and doesn't have a pit man on it. This is as per the manual page 23 which shows the parts brake down for the 515 and it has no pitman listed in the parts
