My neighbor just bought a JD #10 baler. Anyone know anything at all about this thing?

What years were they made? Reliable? Known problems? How much are they worth?

60s vintage baler. Few were ever sold to my knowledge.Makes a great bale for shipping by truck or rail.

the number 10 is a high density baler. it will put the same amount in a smaller bale thats in a regular bale. it has a faster plunger speed that really packs the bale tight.they were used mostly out west in hay country. i had one for years. the bales are hard to shake apart. the bales would stack nice because they were solid.
it is a wire tie. i think the plunger speed was abount 96 strokes per minute.
