How much does Banvil usually go for $$? I Am looking to spot spray about 4 acres mixed with 2,4-D? Any application rates would be great, spraying for milkweed on some 3rd cutting grass hay. Milkweed is about 10" tall right now

What you are looking for is called Weedmaster or Rangestar and it's a mix of dicamba(Banvel) and 2,4-D all ready mixed. Use it per the label. You can usually look up on the web for the labeled use for the weed you are targeting.

Banvel is about twice the price of 2-4-D, depending on the formulation of the 2-4-D. Ester is a quicker kill. Amine is a slower, but surer kill. I would use a pint of 2-4-D along with a pint of Banvel at this time of year.

Sounds about right to me.

Clarity is a less volitale mix of dicomba (the killer in Banvel). It would be safer near gardens & such. Often priced the same.

Sterling is one of several generic versions of Banvel, which will be a bit cheaper. The patent went off on dicomba a couple years ago....

Banvel drift shouldn't be a problem at this time of year and will be the cheapest. The new Status(dicamba) would be my weapon of choice if drift were a potential problem

Drift would not be a problem 'here' this time of year either, but my sis & hubby were in Tulsa this week where it was over 90 degrees every day, near 100 several.... Might be a problem 'there'. :)

I can't keep up with all the generics any more, thanks for the name.

Status is a new less volotile formulation that stays put better than Banvel or even Distinct.Think it is by BASF.Agree on the keeping up, especially the generics.
