Would a Dearborn sickle bar mower fit on a Ford 900? If so, how does the swathe bar attach? Thanks, Ed

Here is a picture of the bracket I made to go under right finder mount of 1715 Ford/New Holland for Dearborn mower. Click on link for picture of mower on tractor.

What model of mower are you asking about? I think all the rear mounted models would work, not sure about the belly mower. I have a model 14-53 (similar to ford 501) which goes on a 960 just fine. It is important to have the necessary brackets that either hook to the lift arms or go under the right side of the tractor, depending on the model of mower.

No, it will not fit a 900 rowcrop tractor, it was made for the 9N, 8N, NAA and 6/800 series tractors with the correct brackets which are usually left on the previous owners tractor.

Where do you connect the kickback bar?

It's been a long time, but I remember a cast bracket with a socket similar to the end of a lift arm attached to the bottom of the right axel with the fender bolts. this was on an 8n. Some of those mowers also used extensions on the lift arm assemblies. David

OK,it has been a long time. We had brackets that went on the fender bolts under the axles. These were for stabilizer bars. If we are talking the same bar(breakaway bar) it connected to the left bracket and a regular stabilizer bar to the right bracket.

It is alot easier if you have some help mounting the mower.
