Does anyone have photos of how the Sperry-New Holland model 451 sickle bar mower hooks up to a tractor? My brother is trying to hook one up to a Ford 3000, and there are some extra brackets he can"t quite figure out. Plus, I am 3 hours drive away from him, making it very difficult for me to help figure it out. And I haven"t been able to find any pictures online as yet.

i dont have a picture but as georgeky said there are 2 places to put pins on the bracket. remove the top link from tractor. make sure the eye hooks are not locked in on the frame of the mower. lift the bracket and place the front hole and pin it to the tractor top link bracket. now take the top link you removed from the tractor and place it in the other hole and pin it. now there is another place on the bracket to attach the other end of the top link, so you can adjust the tilt of the mower. bottom hooks to the lift arms as usual. now you can start tractor ,lift mower and lock the eye hooks to the little cleats on the frame of mower.

The top link goes between that bracket thing and the mower frame. The bracket hooks to the tractor's top link bracket.
