do any of u guys know anything about a western landroller bearcat hammer mill - feed grinder? i woud like to know as much about it as possible model is beacat a4 i think, thanks for any help

yea it has the drag chain. guess what i ws wonting to know is which pulley to run the belt on and how much power i need to turn it

I take it the PTO, gearbox and V-belts are not with it?

Is this machine use a flatbelt or the 5 V-belts? Does it have that horizontal gearshift lever for the "forward-neutral-reverse" for the bed chain?

Trying to figure out which machine you have. Got a picture? Is it on a frame with tongue and wheels?

The main drive is gonna be off the left side of the machine.

Allen, the one i have uses a flat belt but there are i think four or five diferent places were a flat belt could be run. should there be small belts running between some of these, again there all flat belt pulleys, and none really line up with each other. I figured maybe to turn different speeds for different aplications, i dont know.There is a gear shift lever that i think is to controll feeder. and it is on a frame with a tongue. ill try and get a pic of it today . i sure apriciate your help, thanks

Most of 'em had an "inertia clutch" on that feed chain and it took a good 60 horse to keep it feeding at any acceptable rate.

A 100 horse tractor would really make 'em sing.

I don't know the model numbers; only that I stood on the wrong end of a corn fork feeding the darned things for too darned many years. :>)

Does yours have the drag-chain feed chute?
