Well guys...i know this isnt the right forum for this, but I was just wondering what the actual name was for these kind of rims. It is on a old 1967 chevy grain truck. It is a split rim i believe. But what it is, is where you have the regular lug bolts, but it also has bolts with clamps that hold the wheel "ring" to the wheel "hub". Then the wheel "hub" has the normal lug bolts that old it to the actual hub with the brake on it. One of those hold downs that hold the ring on is missing. Just was wondering what they would be called, and what the type of setup this would be called. Thanks guys.

I don't know if this is the correct name or just a local name. In Eastern Washington I have only heard them call Bud Wheels.

Dayton is the correct term. Also known as a widow maker rim by most tire mechanics. That's why they put them in a steel cage before inflating. You should be able to get those wedge clamps at any tire dealer or junk yard.

Well, I believe what you are describing is called a "Dayton wheel"... As for what those hold-down thinguses are called, I don't know. Maybe some sort of a clamp, or dog, or retainer, or ... ? I bet if you ask at a place that does repairs on heavy-duty trucks you'll find out, if they know it's for a Dayton wheel.

Good luck with your parts quest.
