My friend has a disk that we have no idea of the make or model but needs bearing spools and bearing halfs. This are around 6.5 inches in lenght and we can't find any that come close to this. Does anyone have any idea where to find this lenght bearing spools?

Thanks,

I don't think these are wood bearings and does not look like the 8N'r picture. This is a cylinder style not 3 point hitch. Someone thinks it is a Kiowa brand?

Thanks for all the replys. I will check out the plastic company.

Tommy---if you have the wooden bearings, this company probably made the bearings for the implement that you have.

They still make them and can customize any size or replace the original wood bearings with a composite bearing if you like. Wood actually will outlast the composite as it does not have any adverse reaction to ag fertilizers, etc.

I've been researching the wooden types, have one of those unknown disc harrow's too. Although it came from our Ford dealership way back when, I only saw one other like it, generic it seems, but it does a good job nonetheless.

Try this place and do a search there, saw they had parts like you may be looking for.

Billy--I picked up a 6' disc this year that has the old wood bearings in it. It is a 3pt. piece and I believe it was manufactured by Love Equipment Company and was sold out of Ford Dealerships as an add on implement to the N series tractors.

It has heavy round steel tubular framing on it.

Might be what you have---Tim

8Nr,
What ever became of that ford 201 disc that you found down by madison or LaCrosse?
I need something smaller than this 10 footer I have.

I forwarded the seller info to "Fordfarmer" over on the FORD forum. I believe he felt it too far for him to go. He may still have the phone number.

Seller wanted $300 for it---8' disc was too big for me. Located in Readstown, WI on the high ground, so I know if it is still available, it is not under water like the rest of the area is. The discs were is great shape and the frame only had 1 weld on it. Great disc for someone with a tractor big enough to lift/pull it.

No--one was parted out for the discs and the other is being used and not for sale in the State of Virginia. I know you are still looking.

This one in the picture that I picked up is still useable and will probably last me a long time. If I find an "original" Dearborn or Ferguson for what I consider a reasonable price, I will let you know and offer the "blue ox" in the picture to you.

These little discs are VERY hard to come by in WI and if they are original, will sell for almost what a new one would cost.

Live in Waukesha County, but I do my tractoring in La Crosse Area so I have a decent travel route for looking for/at implements and tractors.
