Could somebody be of some help as to what horsepower is needed to pull a 210 14 foot tamdam offset disc. Would a 720, 730, 830 be enough power to pull it? Any other advise or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks.

I have heard that a good gauge for an offset disk is 10 HP per lineal foot wide. so a 14 foot offset would need a 140 hp tractor to pull it with ease. just my 2.

A JD 210 is a tandem disc- not an offset. They were available with standard concave disc blades and cone style blades. I've had the cone since 1977, and it's a good match for the 4020 diesel- 94 pto hp. When I used it with the 3020 diesel- 70 hp, it was underpowered. Would not pull it faster than 3rd gear, while the 4020 did a good job in 4th. Both were PS, with duals. Biggest personal dislike is the cast standard that connects the gang to the frame. Easier to break than steel. 210 is a medium weight/duty disc- ok on plowed ground, but not heavy enough for turning stalks, etc. Your 830 might not be too bad of a match for it.

I used to pull a 7 ft Roam with a 54 hp tractor and it was all it needed.

Not sure I follow.... There's tandem discs and offset discs, and a WORLD of difference between the two.
Tandem has 4 gangs. The offset has 2 and looks like half a tandem.
A 14' tandem will want 60+ hp to handle in light soil, and likely a lot more to really make much use of it...
An offset disc will want 150 horse in front to handle 14'. That's no toy...

Sorry, that would be 14' offset. Still looking at 60 plus?

It would be 150 PLUS in my soil which is light... At the very least you can figure on that, and then some.
