I am lookoing at a NH463 disc mower in the area. What HP does this require and what kind of track record does this mower have, good or bad? They are asking about $4500.00 for it. Thanks for the input.

They were made well into the '90's. That price should get you two of them.

They're Kuhn mowers, and about as good a bar as you'll find anywhere. I think Marv is correct in that the 463 had the heavy duty discs and shoes.
I think the price is steep though. At auction those are probably thousand buck machines. It was probably 6-7 new whenever it was bought way back when, or would have been that here, in Cad funds, considering our dollar was a lot weaker relative to the US dollar at that time.

Not trying to get anything started but I think the only difference between the 463 and 462 is the 463 had heavier spinning disc that the blades attach to. In my area you can get a 462 anywhere from $1000 - $2000. They were made back in 1980's but are good machines.
