Hi all , Does anyone have the good or bad about this type of rake . I stumbled on one yesterday . I didn"t get the model number . It"s ground driven . I didn"t pay enough attention to notice if the axle was offset or not . But after I left the place I started to think about it . It seems as though 6 bars would be better than 5 if the baskets turn at roughly the same speeds . Are parts still widely available ? Does it do a good job on grass hay ? Thanks for any info ! ...Randy

The straight axel ones were as good a rake as found. No idea about the offset.

Randy, If it is a straight axle model 36 it was
in my estimation the finest rake available. We
sold both NH and MF and both top rakes. When the
offset axle model 37 came out that was the end of
them. Nothing good to say. Some parts may be difficult to get new at your dealer. Chuck

Hi Chuck , Thanks ! I suspected that parts wouldn't be available . The rake itself seemed tight at the bar bearings but thats as close as I payed attention to it . I didn't pay much attention to the configuration of the axle just that it was a ground drive and I noticed the basket level was adjusted with a cable setup ...Randy
