I have a ford 2000 and a 3pt hitch 5' finish mower. I wouuld like to know if I could some how change something on it so I can use it as a belly mower. I'm looking to make alittle more space in the barn by putting the mower underneath instead of hanging off the back.Any suggestions?

Be better off trading the 3pt mower for a belley mower. Buying the pullies or gears & bracing & rigging to raise & lower will add up fast. If you already did this sort of thing on your own, you wouldn't be asking, so assume you will need to pay for the fabrication as well.

Belly mowers pretty much dedicate the tractor to only being a lawn mower. You got no clearance to drive over anything any more, & too much hassle to take off/ put on the mower.

I'd spend my money on a bigger shed. :)

Sounds like it's not an EZ fix. I guess I'll just leave it with the 3pt hook up. With 5 tractors I could always use another shed. Thanks for your reply, Paul.
