I just took my Jubilee and Dearborn 101 to the antique tractor dispay at our county fair, and I was wondering if any of you could help me figure out when the plow was built. The tag reads: model 10-1, serial 93675. Not a big deal if I don't know, I'd just like to put its year on the sign along with '53 for the Jubilee. Thanks.

My Dad had one bought new in 1951 along with an 8n.Ddon't remember if the 8n was new, but it was shined up so maybe it was new also.Got a 3 Pt. Hitch 7' Mower and a Dearborn Loader also.I remember that Mower very well. I was cutting hay and at noon I went home in Road Gear with the Sickle Bar down and the tractor and the Sickle bar down woulkd not fit between the Gate Posts at the end of the Drive. Major repairs to the Mower. My Self Esteem took a major down turn after my Dad got thru talking to me. I was 15 and as big as he was so talking was all he did.I guess I spoiled his day. I miss my Dad.

Is the word FORD scripted ?? This would help help in identfy the production year. I researched year ago but forgot now.

It doesn't say 'Ford' anywhere on it. Tag reads 'Dearborn'. Some of my searching has turned up a date range of 1947 to 1950, but no definate breakdown of years/serial numbers. I don't know if this would make a difference in determining the age or not, but some of the pictures I've seen show a solid upright frame piece for the toplink and the 3-point pins coming out of a square bar; mine has a round bar and a skeletonized upright.

Any and all machinery with the Dearborn name was made in between 1948 when the 8N tractor came out and the end of the NAA production in 1954. After that it was all Ford machinery. If your plow has the blade, throwaway type share, I would guess it to be 53 or 54. If the blacksmith type sharpen it could be any year in that time frame. The blade type share was called the econemy plow.

If it is a 101 plow then it is not a Dearborn plow but a Ford plow built in 1955 and up. The 101 number was not used on the dearborn name unit.

You're right - it's not a 101, that should have read 10-1.
