Hi! Anyone have ideas on the worth of a well maintained but well used 337? Its in central Il.
Is there anything to watch for on these balers. I have two 14T's and need to upgrade.

I got rid of an excellent 337 last summer for $3000. Since there aren't many people who bale around here, i felt fortunate .

Picked up an extremely nice 336 from a friend of mine's father in law at the beginning of this summer for $3500. THought that was pretty good considering the condition it is in. Had a six hour drive to go get it though! I would imagine a good 337 to be $3500 and up...

I bought a 346 in great working condition at auction in N. Fl. for $1800. The auction was moving fast and a couple of guys that wanted it were too busy on thier cell phones to participate on time. A couple of folks told me that I "stole" it. I've also bought some things at auction that made me feel like I was "stolen" from!

On April 16 this year, my BIL had to bid over $6000 to get our family estate's 337. It was a very good 337, however and had had a major "tuneup" just a year ago. The old 14t and 24ts are wearing out, and I don't think that sales of the 336.337 or 338 series have kept pace with the sales that the old balers achieved. That means that small square balers are getting harder to find. Hard to find = more expensive. I would say that a 337 in nearly any condition is a bargain at $3000 here in SE iowa.
