Can someone tell me if I need to replace my elec. tie motor on my 5500 heston baler. It works good going one dir. but when you reverse it it is real slow or stalls and wont start. I am new to this big baler and am not sure if the motor is fixable or needs to be replaced. The wireing is good and nothing seems to be bent or misaligned. Thanks for any information. Sam

Maybe the switch is bad. As much as the switch is used, it seems like could be bad going one direction. You could maybe test it by applying 12V directly to the wires. Just a thought. You can only hope it is the switch. If not, maybe the motor could be rebuilt somewhere if the new ones are really $500.
