I have an old Burgh disc harrow made by Burgh Plow Works, Evansville Indiana. It is 3 point, and about 7 to 8 feet wide so it can't be more than 30 or 40 years old. The serial Number is 85735 and the casting number on the bearings is 551. Any idea where I can buy a new bearing and a couple new discs?

It seems to be a very rugged unit. Does anywone have experience with one of these models?

It is BURCH not Burgh and may well be 55 years old. It probably has the 2 piece white iron type of bearing that you grease 2-3-4 times a day and it would probably be impossible to find a bearing like that. And farm supply place should have the blades. This May I saw a 3 point at auction but that is the only one I ever saw. We used to have a 6 blade on a side wheel carried but traded it off for a larger disc in about 1970 and only saw one other wheel disc and that was a 7 on a side unit. And the one we had you greased it every hour or it would squeel your ears off.

Not sure about that bearing set up, but I got new bearings for my Burch 10 foot hydraulic wheel harrow last year.

You should be able to get a bearing matched from a bearing dealer or implement dealer. Maybe even Napa. The disk are available at nearly all farm stores including TSC. You need an old one off to match the axle size and shape with.
