Has anyone ever heard of Independent Mfg. Co.? I have a plow serial number 120317 the point is chipped off. Trying to find a replacement.

Their designs were copied or bought by King Kutter - my 3pt disc looks just like the ones king cutter sold only with a 1 1/8 inch or greater opening.

I have had something made by that company but can't think of what it was now. Think it was a rotary mower of 5' pull type PTO. Do know it wasn't a plow. Is this a standard type boldboard plow? Does it have a blacksmith type share on it? With that type share with nose broke off I have taken a deep suck type throway type share and cut it to fit instead of the orignal share nose and arc welded it on. if the edge of the share is getting wore out the whole edge of that blade type share can be welded on.

If this is a plow used ocasionally for hobby you can just make a point out of some old scrap and weld it on with real low heat. It will last a long, long time. I have done this several times.
