Hydraulic cyl. repair, NH 462 disc mower?

Can anyone tell me how to take the lift cylinder apart on my NH 462 mower? This machine is made by Kuhn in the '90's, and sold by NH, Deere, and many others. I don't see any screws or anything to remove the ram. It just looks like a washer around the rod.

After I got it off the mower and cleaned up a bit, I was able to see the snap wring. Just pushed the rod plug in a little, and it came right apart.

I forget now. Never had one apart, but I'll look at the 465 when there's some light.... That should be exactly the same.
Not sure but it isn't welded....

hydr cylinders have diff ways to get apart,dont know what you have but generally there is either a snapring inside the rod plug{can't miss that one] somethimes you have to punch the rod plug a little deeper in the bore to see that one.

Or the rod plug has internal or external tread [ turn it loose]

other ones have a wire running in a groove trough a slotted hole in the OD cyl wall just underneath the the rod plug,in that case lift the wire end up out of the groove and at the same time turn the plug towards the wire end and the wire will roll out as the plug turns.

I wondered about pushing the rod plug deeper, that must be what I have. I don't see any wire of any kind, and don't see any way of turning the plug. No snap ring visible. Thanks

say, is that a smaller single acting or a slave cylinder, in that case the rodplug may not be removable.
some of them have a pin in the bottom of the rod.
that can be taken out trough the bottom oil port, you will have to turn the rod bottom'd out to line the pin up with the port, with a little tapping it should fall out.
