Just wondering if they really work that well. I've read sad news about the large hay rakes of this style.

I bought one this spring { estate rake}. If you lower the rake all the way down it will dethach, but you have to weigh it down or it will pull side ways.It has weight brackets for this purpose. When you hold it up a notch for just raking leaves it can't be beat. I pull it with a 1250 cub cadet.

I have one of those endeyco estate rakes - They work just like a big rake , but only for a lawn and you can"t make the windrows to big. It also dethatches pretty good.
