Woods Dixie cutter Bush Hog Gear box leak

I just picked up an old 5' Woods Dixie cutter Bush hog from a neighbor. I think it is an M5 but can't find any #'s on it. Deck and frame are in good shape but the gear box leaks. Anyone know how hard it is to replace the bottom bearings and seals? I don't want to pack it with grease. There is a little play in the bottom bearing so i would like to replace it.

How hard is it to get parts for these mowers. Any online places to get parts?

There is a special puller to take the cross bar off. The gear box is not difficult just a lot of labor and the seal is a common problem TIP GET A PARTS BOOK AND LOOK AT THE PULLER THERE IS ALSO AN O RING ON SOME MODELS.

Most of that equipment built a while back in the good old USA uses easy to find bearings and seals. Get the old ones out and take them to a bearing supply place and they will be able to find replacements either by cross referencing numbers on the old ones or measuring them.
