Could anyone identify this Allis Chalmers sickle bar mower? Any information on value would be appreciated as well. I have not tried to use it, would probably need some work to be completely functional. I do not have the time to restore it, perhaps someone is looking for one of this vintage for their collection.
Thanks, Mark [email protected]

Yep! That'd be an 82-T. You have to jack up the left wheel to slide the sickle bar knife under the tire to change blades. Check out what the drive head looks like, the common problem with these mowers is the blade yoke between the twin drive wheels. If this is all there and together, it makes the mower worth using or restoring, or just for those couple of parts.

That is one fine Mower. I had the "Snap Coupler" version of that Mower and it worked super. No more broken Pitman Arms. That Mower you are showing with normal care and a good sickle /bar will earns it way any where quality Hay needs Mowing.

Mark - that is an 82T (trailer) model from Allis-Chalmers and the last trailer model they made. I believe it was introduced around 1966/1967 and made up until the hay equipment line was dropped in 1975. I"m told the off-set wheels allowed the user to make square corners. Your example looks to be in good shape and would probably bring $300-$400. Mike
