JD 566 round baler net wrap problem

A net wrap attachment was added by the dealer about 4-5 years ago and worked good at that time. Used net wrap for about 2 years and then only string since. Want to use the net wrap again and having trouble getting the actuator to operate reliably. I have dimantled the actuator and greased all of the moving parts. When the actuator returns to the home position, things are so tight that the little motor cannot get going to start wrapping the next bale. Anybody have experience with this unit? Thanks for any advice.

Is that the actuator that's on the right side of the door and disengages the wrap and maybe cuts the wrap as well? Our neighbor that does our baling got a new 567 last year and had that actuator go bad. When it went bad the baler wouldn't quit wrapping when set on automatic but there was a way he could go into the menu on the monitor and manually run it. Evidently they had a batch of bad actuator's because our dealer replaced several on balers with less than 300 bales on them.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the actuator is on the right side of the door. I haven't heard anything about a bad batch. This unit has been idle for at least two years and things are coated with hay dust and some rust in undesireable places. I have since talked to the local dealer but their most experienced guy was out on a call at the time. Thanks again for the information.

Cliff may be right. I used to run an '03 457 with net and the actuator had to be replaced. Was told they had a run of bad ones.

Thanks for the response. I have since cleaned the electrical circuit, on the tractor, from the battery to the plug where my monitor connects and the actuator now operated 10 out of 10 times. I don't have anything ready to bale but unrolled a bale and was able to wrap one bale successfully. I'm going to give the actuator a chance the next baling session. Thanks again for the information.
