What type of oil should I use in an AC 80 mower?

Heavier the better I use the 140W and if the seals go bad you pack it full of grease,I have run one like that for years

I'm pretty sure mine had 80-90 gear oil, and I never changed it in 20 years-in either my 80R or 80-R 3pt & never had a gear box problem. If I was going to change the oil, one might think of using disk mower gear oil. Also, I'd recommend posting your request on the Unofficial Allis site. Great mowers! I'd recommend switching the guards to double NH. Mike
