If any one out there happens to have a share that was made by Silver Streak in Dyersville ,IA I am looking for some. It doesn't matter what if fits just that it was made by Silver Streak. My Grandfather was one of the owners of the company. Thanks.

I can tell you what it is not and that it is not that Ferguson share the other poster thought it is. I have the plow he is talking about and they are made entirely different. With the red color it may be IHC, MH or Cockshutt but it is a quick attach share and for either a 14" or 16" plow. I can also tell that it is a used share as there are curves where if a new share would be straight lines with sharp angles

That sure looks like a 150.00 old Fergerson 12" share. After seeing your post on the n forum I would cut the L shape off and weld to my old share. I gurantee it will shed.

hi
the share measures 16" across the flat of the top. what does 150.00 mean? i have been googling forever and cannot find anything on these darn numbers.

That means as in Am dollars. Your share should have a duck bill like this one.The later throw away shares are 12 to 15 dollars each.

The Dearborn Economey plow used Oliver bottoms with just a cheap blade type throw away share that any good farm suply should be able to get. You just will need one of the old shares to match it up and you will need to know the width of cut for the plow, measure from No. 1 beam to No. 2 beam and use the same spot on each beam and that will give you the size. Measuring along the angle of the share like you are doing in the picture will not give you the size plow the share is used on. to get the size share in your picture take a large carpenters square and lay one edge against the flat edge on the left side of the share and read the measurement on the other leg of the square at the far back tip of the share and then have to add a bit as the correct measuring point is wore down.
