I am restoring a McCormick horse drawn mower. I have all the pieces however I am not sure where the chain and stuff goes on the sickle side of the mower. It must have something to do with the lifting of the sickle bar. Photos or information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, maestro

there is alot of info on the md mowers. there is a rebuild instruction published in Haying With Horses by Lynn Miller. You can try Norm McNair's for help or parts (search on internet), and there is a lot of info at Ruralheritage.com Front Porch.

I have a #7 and #9 and cut hay with them.
